Wood Shaving Balers

Bagging machines can be built to suit customers requirements for bale size and rate of bales per hour.

The large shavings baler shown can produce 130+ bales per hour with a twin chamber baling system.

The shavings are loaded into a hopper that feeds a cross conveyor, which in turn automatically feeds 2 pressing boxes - the boxes are made out of high tensile steel plate to handle the stresses. The shape of the bale is formed in the steel pressing boxes before being pushed into the plastic bag automatically.

There is still some manual input ie: fitting bag to press tube and sealing of bag by heat seal, tape or sewn. This, in turn, gives the customer a press that is less than half the price of some other high spec fully automatic machines.  All pressing is done hydraulically and is fully automated with push-button operation through a telemecanique PLC system. However, this can be changed using other makes of PLC’s to suit the customer's needs.

The motor is run on 3phase power. Hydraulic valving is Vickers and all valves are fitted to one central manifold with flow controls.

Bagging rate for good wood shavings can be around 130 bags per hour, standard bag size 400 x 400 x 800mm. The baling machine is capable of pressing up to 7 tonnes in pressure and will press the shavings down to less than a quarter of the original content - the shavings press allows for variances in moisture content. The press requires 3 people to operate at full capacity - for bag sealing etc. Bag length is adjustable on the chamber press by moving pre-press censor. This also can be adjusted for moisture content. Optional safety barrier lighting is available. The wood shavings baler has a foolproof operational safety system and is made from quality components and materials. Daytech will custom build these machines to your requirements ie: what size bag, how many cubic metres you require to be pressed and how many pressing chambers do you need.
